• Do I need to speak Spanish?
The short answer is no. All your suppliers, banks, etc speak English as will nearly all your customers so it really     isn´t necessary. However, you may find that you would like to speak the language and there are many private tutors, language schools or CD´s available to assist

• Spain Bar Sales seem to do an awful lot for me, what do you charge?
We don´t charge you a fee. The seller of the business pay us a commission to cover our expenses

• How long does a lease last?
The length of a lease varies normally ranging from 5 to 25 years. Occasionally there are endless leases offered

• Do I have to pay another lump sum at the end of my lease?
No. You have an automatic right to a new lease without lump sum payment. However the rent will increase generally by 20%

• Does the rent increase during my lease?
Your rent will rise each year by the rate of inflation.

• How long does the process take to purchase a lease?
Usually from paying the deposit it will take around 30 days.

• What alterations can I make?
You can redecorate and refurnish the inside of the bar. You can not however alter the structure of the bar without obtaining permission from you landlord

• Can I sell the lease?
Yes. You can sell at any time at a price determined by yourself. You will however have to pay a commission to your landlord and a fee to your estate agents.

• Do I need a visa to own a bar in Spain?
No. As long as you a European citizen.
